[SMM Statistics] Weekly Bidding Capacity Reaches 2.87 GW with an Average Winning Bid Price of 0.69 Yuan/Watt

[Weekly Confirmed Capacity of 2.87GW, Average Winning Bid Price at 0.69 Yuan/Watt] During the week of February 17 to February 23, 2025, SMM statistics showed that domestic enterprises won a total of 22 PV module projects. The winning bid price range was concentrated between 0.65-0.82 yuan/watt. The weighted average price for the week was 0.69 yuan/watt, remaining unchanged from the previous week. The total awarded procurement capacity was 2,867.97MW, a decrease of 339.49MW compared to the previous week.

SMM reported on February 27: During the week of February 17 to February 23, 2025, SMM statistics showed that 22 PV module project sections were awarded to multiple domestic companies, including DAS Solar, Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Chint New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Among these, 16 projects disclosed their installed capacities. The PV module models finalized for procurement this week included P-type and N-type modules. The winning bid price range was concentrated between 0.65-0.82 yuan/W, with a weekly weighted average price of 0.69 yuan/W, remaining unchanged from the previous week. The total awarded procurement capacity was 2,867.96 MW, a decrease of 339.49 MW compared to the previous week. The confirmed N-type module procurement capacity during the week was approximately 2,727.23 MW, accounting for 95.09%.

Key winning bid information for the week:

  1. The Three Gorges Group's 2024 PV Module Framework Concentrated Procurement (Second Batch) Project, with a planned total procurement capacity of 2,500 MW for N-type TOPCon modules of 580 Wp and above. DAS Solar, Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd., and Chint New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. were the winning bidders, with an average winning bid price of 0.695 yuan/W.
  2. Dezhou Xingrun Supply Chain Co., Ltd.'s 2025 PV Module Procurement Project, with a planned total installed capacity of 50 MW. The project was divided into two sections. Section 1 had a procurement capacity of 36 MW for 610 Wp PV modules, with Shandong Qihua Trading Co., Ltd. winning at a price of 0.67 yuan/W. Section 2 had a procurement capacity of 14 MW for 620 Wp PV modules, with Shandong Anyu PV Technology Co., Ltd. winning at a price of 0.69 yuan/W.
